Garden City, N.Y. - Sophomore Lauren Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) tallied eight points, including five goals and three assists for Adelphi as the #4 ranked women's lacrosse team topped visiting Bentley College on Sunday afternoon at Stiles Field. The Panthers improve to 12-1, while the Falcons drop to 6-7.

Sophomore Diana Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) scored the first of her four goals in the opening minute to give Adelphi the early lead. Senior Katherine Hock (Mineola, N.Y.) scored next on a feed from junior Dawn Anselmin (Lynbrook, N.Y.), one of her five assists on the day. Lauren rattled off the next two goals with Hock and Anselmin rounding out the 6-0 run. The Falcons got on board in the 13th minute as freshman Liz Goddard (Acton, MA) scored on a free position shot. The Panthers rallied on a 7-0 run to close out the first half with a 13-1 lead.

Adelphi continued its run in the second half, scoring the first nine goals to open its lead to 22-1 with 11:26 remaining. Freshman Janet Sica (Floral Park, N.Y.) and junior Jyana Kyriacou (West Hempstead, N.Y.) accounted for the final three goals in the rally. Bentley's Kaitlin Greene (Littleton, CO) ended the run on an unassisted goal in the 41st minute. Sophomore Meghan Blume (Bel Air, MD) scored two of her three goals in the final minutes as the Falcons managed to score twice more before the buzzer. Adelphi held on for the 24-4 victory.

Freshman Grace Monjardo (Rocky Point, N.Y.) had two saves for Adelphi. Junior Lisa Cavallo (Hopkinton, MA) recorded seven saves for Bentley.

Before the start of the game, Adelphi recognized graduating senior Katherine Hock, she had five goals and two assists on the day. Hock, a three-time All-American, will leave Adelphi as the school's all-time leading scorer.

The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, May 3, hosting the University of New Haven at 4:00 p.m.
