The Adelphi University women's lacrosse team notched its fifth straight victory with a convincing 13-3 win at Philadelphia University this afternoon. The Panthers improve to 5-0 while the Lady Rams (2-1) are handed their first loss of the season.
Adelphi led 6-2 at the half and never looked back, holding the Lady Rams to just one second half goal. Senior Katherine Hock (Mineola, N.Y.) led the Panthers with four goals and one assist. Junior Dawn Anselmin (Lynbrook, N.Y.) dished out a career-high five assists while sophomore Lauren Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) also chipped in four goals. Sophomores Meghan Blume (Bel Air, MD) and Diana Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) contributed three goals and two goals, respectively, to round out the scoring.
Adelphi returns to action on Friday, April 1, traveling to Smithfield, Rhode Island to take on Bryant College. Game time is 3:30 pm.
