March 10, 2005

Box Score

Boca Raton, FL - The Adelphi baseball dropped their third consecutive game to northeast rival Bloomfield, 6-3. With the loss Adelphi falls to 1-3 on the season. The Panthers trailed 4-3 after six innings but Bloomfield tacked on two more runs and Adelphi could not get anything going offensively, falling 6-3.

Rinaldo Fable (Franklin Square, N.Y.) pitched six and 2/3 innings, leaving the game with Adelphi trailing 4-3. The Panthers turned three double-plays during the game to keep the score close but gave up to late runs. Adam Kipling (Smithtown, N.Y.) was the lone bright spot at the plate, going 2-4 with an RBI.

"We have hit the ball hard in the last two games but right at someone," said Head Coach Dom Scala. "What I am concerned about is we are not aggressive early in the count. We are hitting defensively, but I'm confident that we can turn this around."

Adelphi returns to action on Thursday, March 10 when they take on West Georgia State at 1:00 pm in Carrollton, Georgia.
