Oakdale, N.Y. - No. 8 seed Adelphi University fell to top-seeded Dowling College, 3-1, in the NYCAC Volleyball Quarterfinals on Saturday evening. The Panthers finish their season 13-17.

Junior Rachael Cornick (Endicott, N.Y.) was the only Panther in double digits with 11 kills and 15 digs.

Dowling seemed to have the contest wrapped up taking games one and two by scores of 30-22 and 30-20, respectively. The Panthers rallied back in game three, hitting .333, while holding the Golden Lions to a mere .067 hitting percentage to take game three, 30-24. However Dolwing took command in the fourth game, 30-9, to advance to the semifinals.

Justyna Michon led Dowling with 19 kills. Irina Belozerova added 16 kills. Natalia Koryzna collected a game-high 18 digs.
