Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Shannon McEntee (Valley Stream, N.Y.) scored in the 74th minute of play to give Adelphi a 2-1 conference win over Queens College. With the win the Panthers improve to 10-3-1 overall and 8-1 in the NYCAC, while Queens falls to 11-5 overall and 6-4 in conference play.

Erin Klimkowski (Westbury, N.Y.) opened the scoring just 4:55 into the game when she beat Queens goalkeeper Lauren Usewicz (Williston Park, N.Y.) off of a Michelle Giovanniello (Nesconset, N.Y.) assist.

The Lady Knights answered back in the 15th minute when Diana Redman (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) found the back of the Panther goal off of a corner kick. Cheryl Meaney (Bayside, N.Y.) and Christine Lettieri (Beechhurst, N.Y.) were credited with assists.

In the 74th minute of action McEntee netted what proved to be the game winner off of a Kristin Waldman (East Meadow, N.Y.) assist. Christine Conway (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) made nine saves in the win, while Usewicz made 12 stops.

Adelphi returns to action on Monday, October 31 when they play host to New Haven at 2:30 pm on Stiles Field.
