Bridgeport, Conn. - Sophomore Kristin Waldman (East Meadow, N.Y.) notched her first goal of the season and the ultimate game-winner in the 34th minute as the Adelphi University women's soccer team upset No. 13 the University of Bridgeport, 3-0. The Panthers improve to 5-2-1 on the season and 4-0 in the NYCAC. The Purple Knights fall to 8-2 and 1-1 in the NYCAC.

Adelphi extended its lead in the second half as senior Lea Brady (Holbrook, N.Y.) gave the Panthers an insurance goal at 63:27 on a feed from junior Catherine Wyndham (Lynbrook, N.Y.). Six minutes later, freshman Erin Klimkowski (Westbury, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring on an assist from senior Shannon McEntee (Valley Stream, N.Y.).

Sophomore Christine Conway (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) collected six saves for her fourth shutout of the season.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, October 5, hosting Concordia College at 4:00 p.m.
