Brookville, N.Y. - Sophomore Tara Grodotzke (Rocky Point, N.Y.) scored in the 33rd minute to lift the #18 ranked Adelphi University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over conference rival C.W. Post on Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers improve to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the NYCAC. The Pioneers drop to 7-2 and 3-1 in the NYCAC.

Grodotzke scored at 32:53 in the first half with senior Josephine Coiro (West Babylon, N.Y.) assisting on the play. The Pioneers actually held a 12-7 shot advantage over the Panthers but were unable to get a shot past freshman goalkeeper Christine Conway (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) who had six saves on the day.

Adelphi has defeated C.W. Post in each of the last four meetings, improving its all-time record to 7-6.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, October 2, traveling to St. Thomas Aquinas for a 12:00 pm contest.
