Waltham, Mass. - Sophomore Rachael Cornick registered 16 kills and 17 digs to lead the Adelphi volleyball team to a 3-2 victory over Merrimack College on Friday night at the Bentley Fall Classic. The Panthers improve to 5-7 overall while the Warriors drop to 3-7.

The game scores were 26-40, 30-25, 19-30, 30-19 and 15-12.

Sophomore Brittany Addeo dished out 59 assists, just two shy of the Adelphi school record, along with nine digs. Senior Sharon Ribera collected a game-high 18 digs. Freshmen Christina Vandling and Lauren Flanagan each chipped in 13 kills and four blocks in the win.

The Warriors were led by Lindsey Larson with 19 kills, two blocks and 14 digs.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday as they face host Bentley College at 10:00 a.m.
