West Haven, CT - Josephine Coiro scored the go-ahead goal in the 74th minute and added two assists as she helped the Adelphi University Panthers (6-1 overall, 3-0 NYCAC) to a 3-1 win over the University of New Haven Chargers (3-6 overall, 0-2 NYCAC) in a New York Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer match played in West Haven, CT on Saturday afternoon.

New Haven led 1-0 at halftime after Maria Ekman put home a rebound of a Thea Lundgren shot with only 14 seconds to play in the first 45 minutes.

Adelphi quickly tied the score early in the second half as Lauren Lopez scored only 2:52 into the second 45 minutes.

After Coiro gave the Panthers the lead, Michelle Giovanniello added an insurance goal in the 82 minute.

Next up, Adelphi travels to cross-town rival C.W. Post for a mid-week conference match-up on Wednesday, September 29. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
