West Haven, CT - The Adelphi University Panthers raised their record to a perfect 10-0 with a 21-5 win at the University of New Haven on Thursday afternoon. Freshman Lauren Lopez led Adelphi with five goals on the day. The Chargers drop to 6-5.

Other multiple goal scorers for the Panthers were junior Katherine Hock with four, senior Leigh Fennessey and Meghan Blume with three each plus freshman Tara Grodotzke with two.

With a 7-2 lead going into the second half, the Panthers exploded with 14 goals in the final 30 minutes of play. Adelphi, which leads the NCAA in all team scoring categories, dominated the game, with 45 shot attempts compared with just 14 for New Haven.

Freshman Allyson Murphy had four saves, while UNH's Heather Gebhart and Kelly Straton combined for 14 saves.

This was the second meeting between the two teams this season, as Adelphi defeated UNH 20-2 on April 10.

The Panthers return to action on Sunday, April 25, traveling to Bryant College. Game time is 12:00 p.m.
