Adelphi had three innings with three or more runs scored and hung 17 runs on Dominican, but committed six errors and gave up 18 runs in an 18-17 loss. Doug Anderson (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) led the way offensively for the Panthers, going 4-5 from the plate with four RBI's, but Adelphi's errors cost them in the end. With the loss the Panthers fall to 15-14 overall and remain 6-6 in conference play, while Dominican improves to 10-21 on the season.

he game was a back and forth offensive battle, Dominican claimed the first substantial lead by scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. But Adelphi responded with nine runs in the next two innings to claim a 10-7 advantage heading in to the fourth.
Dominican scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth to cut Adelphi's lead to one run, 10-9. The Panthers scored five runs over the next two innings, while Dominican added four, to extend their lead to 16-14.
The last five innings belonged to Dominican as Adelphi's bats went silent. The Panthers could muster just one run in the last four innings while Dominican put four more on the board to claim an 18-17 win.
Seven Adelphi pitchers had a hand in the loss but Pete Dragone (Hicksville, N.Y.) was credited with the loss.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, April 21st when they take on conference leader Dowling College at 3:00 pm.
