Volleyball Falls At Queens, 3-0

Flushing, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team fell to conference powerhouse Queens College 10-30, 11-30, 23-30, on Tuesday night at Fitzgerald Gym. The Lady Knights improve to 18-4 on the season and remain perfect with an 8-0 NYCAC record. The Panthers drop to 13-11 and 4-4 in the NYCAC.

Queens dominated throughout, averaging a .616 hitting percentage for the match. Adelphi struggled, hitting -.035 on the night. The Panthers were led by sophomore Rachael Cornick with nine kills and four digs. The Lady Knights had three players in double figures, led by Masha Mosenzhnik with 14 kills along with eight digs.

Adelphi returns to action this Friday, October 22, traveling to the American International Invitational in Springfield, Mass. Their first match is against Mercy College at 4:30 p.m., followed by Saturday contests against Stonehill College at 2:00 p.m. and host AIC at 4:00 p.m.
