All six Adelphi attackmen scored at least one goal each as the Panthers topped West Chester University, 16-8, conference victory at Stiles Field. Senior David Toy (Perth, Australia) led all players with four goals and one assist. Adelphi improves to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the NYCAC. The Golden Rams finish the regular season 6-6, 4-3 in the NYCAC.

Junior Jesse Sorensen (Baldwin, N.Y.) put the Panthers on board at 10:17 in the first quarter with the first of his three goals. Junior Matt Schomburg (Perth, Australia) put the Panthers up 2-0, with an unassisted goal at 6:07. The Golden Rams rallied with back-to-back goals. Sophomore Dustin Stewert (Downingtown, Pa.) scored on an assist by senior Andrew Caldwell (West Chester, Pa.). Caldwell followed up to tie the game at 2-2 an unassisted goal with :04 remaining in the quarter.

The Golden Rams took a 4-2 lead in the second quarter before freshman Wesley Green (Adelaid, Australia) connected at 7:47 on a man-up situation. This sparked a 6-0 Adelphi run through the third quarter, which WCU would not recover from.

Stewert slowed the Panther run, picking up his second goal at 9:07. Senior Tyler Heavenor (Victoria, Canada) scored the next two Adelphi goals on assists by Schomburg and senior Owen Zachariasse (Ashburn, Va.). Less than :30 seconds later, Zachariasse collected his third goal of the season on an assist from Green. West Chester accounted for the last two goals of the third quarter to trail 11-7.

Adelphi outscored West Chester 5-1 in the final quarter, with Toy accounting for two of the Panther's goals.

Senior goalkeeper Mark Miller (Norwalk, Conn.) was instrumental in the Panthers win, making 16 saves on 34 shots. Sophomore Matt Lovejoy (West Chester, Pa.) had 17 stops on 47 shots for West Chester.

The Panthers return to conference action on Wednesday at New Haven at 3:00 p.m.
