Worcester, Mass. - After leading 15-0 at the end of the first half, the Adelphi women's lacrosse team cruised to a 18-3 win over Assumption College, Sunday morning at Worcester State College. The Panthers improve to 6-1 on the season, while the Greyhounds drop to 2-3.

Junior Leigh Fennessey led the team with five goals and two assists. Sophomore Katherine Hock had three goals, while junior Karen Sulinski and senior Catherine Perez each chipped in two goals along with four assists.

In the second half, freshman Jessica Marra came off the bench to score the final Panther goal on an assist from junior Jennifer Garone with :47 seconds remaining.

Sophomore Josephine Coiro collected nine saves on 12 shots on goal.

Adelphi is back in action this Thursday, hosting Montclair State University at 4:00 p.m. at Stiles Field.
