Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi closed out their season tonight with a 3-0 loss to New Haven. With the loss Adelphi finishes the season 8-17 overall and 3-8 in the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, while New Haven improves to 23-7 overall and 10-1 in NYCAC play. New Haven clinched a NYCAC Tournament berth prior to their contest with Adelphi, but with the win New Haven clinched the number one seed in the Tournament.

Both teams played tough in the first game, but New Haven reeled off six straight points on their serve to pull ahead and went on to take the first game 30-24. Adelphi came out flat in the second game and the Chargers took full advantage, taking the second game 30-14. The Panthers played the third game strong but New Haven reeled off six straight points again to put the game out of reach and end Adelphi's season by taking the third game 30-24.
