Adelphi Battles Oneonta State to a 0-0 Tie.

Oneonta, N.Y. - Adelphi battled Oneonta State to a 0-0 tie yesterday. It was the eighth overtime game of the season for the Panthers who are 8-5-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the Atlantic Soccer Conference. Oneonta State picked up their sixth tie of the season and fourth in ASC play, the Red Dragons are 8-2-6 overall and 0-0-4 in the ASC.

The first half of play was dominated by Oneonta who out shot Adelphi 10-4 in the first 45 minutes. The second half was played much like the first with both goalkeepers making key saves to keep the game tied. In the overtime period Joseph Afful was able to break free and get behind the Red Dragon defense but his shot deflected wide off of an Oneonta defender. Tom Cunningham collected eight saves and Jack Potter recorded 10.

Adelphi returns to action Saturday, November 8th when they travel Hartwick to close out the regular season. The game kicks off at 2:30 pm.
