Adelphi topped Pace yesterday 3-1 to improve to 8-13 overall, while Pace dropped to 10-13 overall with the loss. Pace came out strong and took the first game 30-25, but Adelphi came back and took the next three games 30-25, 30-25 and 30-23 to pick up the win.
Leading the way for Adelphi was Rachael Cornick who finished with 13 kills and 12 digs. Meaghan Joyce totaled 10 kills, 17 digs and 3 aces, while Brittany Addeo handed out 32 assists while registering three kills and four digs.
For Pace, Rosemarie Frezza finished with 15 kills and 19 digs. Senior Andreea Cotoranu had a game high 20 kills and nine digs, while freshman Kim Schumer finished with a game high 45 assists and seven digs to go along with four aces.
Adelphi returns to action Saturday, November 1st when they travel to Dowling College to compete in the 2003 Dowling College Halloween Quad.
