Philadelphia, PA - Adelphi extended its winning streak to nine games this afternoon with a 3-0 victory against Philadelphia. With the win the Panthers improve to 9-1-1 overall and 5-0 in the NYCAC, while Philadelphia drops to 7-4-2 overall and 3-3-1 in NYCAC play.

Adelphi opened the scoring just 3:09 into play when Josephine Coiro scored an unassisted goal. Adelphi kept the pressure on after Coiro's goal, out shooting Philadelphia 6-1 in the first half. The second half was more of the same, with the Panthers out shooting Philadelphia 4-0.

Marissa Cotilletta scored in the 54th minute off of an assist from Coiro and in the 76th minute Coiro closed out the scoring with her second goal of the game. Andrea Fasano picked up the shut out victory with out registering a save, while Stephanie Martin collected five saves.

Adelphi returns to action Wednesday, October 15th when they travel to Southampton for a 3:30 pm NYCAC contest.
