New Haven, Conn. - The Adelphi University volleyball team dropped non-conference opponent Southern Connecticut, 30-16, 30-23, 30-26. Adelphi improves to 11-6 on the season while the Owls fall to 0-6.

Freshman Alexandra Sedlik led the Panthers with 10 kills and two digs. Senior Brianne MacArthur had a game-high 24 assists and two aces, while senior Jenna Sweeney collected two solo blocks, three block assists and three kills.

For Southern, senior Mindi Scala had eight kills and 14 assists. Freshman Amber PUrcells had a game-high 18 digs.

Adelphi returns to conference action on Monday, September 30, when they travel to Concordia College.
