Sophomore forward Josephine Coiro registered her second hat trick in as many games to lead the Adelphi Panthers to a 3-0 victory over Bloomsburg. Adelphi remains undefeated, 6-0, while the Huskies drop to 2-2.
Coiro picked up her first goal in the 39th minute on an assist from junior Luciana Pace.
The Huskies kept the game close until 2:30 left in the second half. Coiro scored her second goal on an assist from junior Marissa Cotilletta. The game-winner came on a penalty kick by Coiro just over a minute later as the Panthers picked up their sixth straight win, 3-0.
Adelphi had 16 shots to Bloomsburg's 13. Junior goalkeeper Andrea Fasano registerd eight saves in the shutout. Bloomsburg's Heather Hartman also had eight saves.
The Panthers return to conference action on Wednesday, traveling to St. Thomas Aquinas. Kick off is at 3:30 p.m.
