The Adelphi University women's soccer team improved its overall record to 14-2-1 after defeating host New Haven, 3-0, in conference action Saturday afternoon. Three different players scored for the Panthers in the shutout.
Junior Domonique Riccardo picked up the first Adelphi goal in the 23rd minute on an assist from Dina Cali.
In the second half, junior Luciana Pace extended the Panthers lead to 2-0, on an assist from junior Karen Sulinski. Junior Jennifer Garone tallied the final Adelphi goal from freshman Jaime Parrella in the 67th min.
Adelphi had 12 shots on goal and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks. New Haven's goalkeeper had nine saves and Andrea Fasano had one save for Adelphi.
The Panthers close out the regular season at home on Saturday, November 9, against conference rival Southampton. Kick off is at 1:00 p.m.
