Philadelphia, Pa. - Freshman Padraiq Drew (Dublin, Ireland) scored the lone goal of the contest on a direct kick in the first half and senior netminder Igor Yatsenko (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted seven saves as visiting Adelphi University defeated Philadelphia University, 1-0, in men's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Ravenhill Field. With the victory, the Panthers improve to 3-7-0 overall on the season and 1-1-0 in the Atlantic Soccer Conference. The Rams, meanwhile, fall to 3-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the ASC.

After a scoreless 19 minutes of play, Drew was able to put the ball past Philadelphia University goalkeeper Scott Nixon (Lyndhurst, Ohio). Yatsenko took over from there, making several outstanding saves in preserving the win including three in the final minutes of the contest.

Adelphi University will be back in action at home on Saturday, October 12th, when it hosts Howard University during Homecoming weekend. Philadelphia University meanwhile, will meet the University of Pennslyvania in a Philadelphia Soccer Seven contest at home on Saturday, October 12th, in its next match.
