The Adelphi University volleyball team dropped a conference match-up to New Haven, 19-30, 14-30, 17-30, Wendesday night at Charger Gym. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 18-15 overall and 5-6 in the NYCAC. The Chargers extend their win streak to 22, improving to 27-5, 11-0 in the NYCAC.
Mary Krines led Adelphi with 13 kills as they were held to just .104 hitting percentage. Bernadette Mearini collected a game-high 12 digs, while Brianne MacArthur had 28 assists and seven digs.
Junior Lisette Jeppesen had eleven kills and eight blocks as she set a new UNH single-season record for block assists with 136 block assists this season. Ashlea Bonds led the way 14 kills as
the Chargers hit .460 for the match.
Adelphi will host C.W. Post, November 6, for the last home match of the regular season. Prior to the start of 7 p.m. contest, Adelphi will take a few moments to honor its graduating seniors.
