Sparkill, N.Y. - Freshman Meaghan Joyce tallied a team-high 11 kills as the Adelphi University volleyball team improved its overall record to 18-14 and 5-5 in the NYCAC after defeating St. Thomas Aquinas, 30-13, 30-24, 30-24, in conference action Monday night. The Spartans fall to 3-18 overall and 2-8 in the NYCAC.

Senior Bernadette Mearini was the team's leading dig-getter with 14. Senior Amber Butler addded 10 digs and senior Brianne MacArthur collected 34 assists along with five digs.

Next up, Adelphi travels to New Haven (25-5, 9-0 NYCAC) on Wednesday, October 30. The Panthers finish the regular season at Woodruff Hall on Wednesday, November 6, Senior Day, hosting C.W. Post at 7 p.m.
