Garden City, N.Y. - Women's lacrosse goalie, Jordann Dempsey, has been named the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week in the conference's first weekly report as announced yesterday. This is the first award for the sophomore starter.

Dempsey helped the Panthers win their home opener against the then #14 ranked Lions of Molloy College last week by a score of 15-10 and then was in net most of the game against Bloomsburg where her team was again successful, 20-6

Against Molloy, she logged the entire 60 minutes, let up just 10 goals and made eight saves en route to her first collegiate win. Against Bloomsburg, she logged 56:45 minutes in the cage, made seven saves and allowed just five goals.

The #2 Panthers return to action on Saturday, March 10 when they take on the Rams of Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, PA at noon.
