At the Boston University Valentine Invitational, Fabio paced the Panthers with an NCAA provisional and automatic qualifying mark in his respective events. In the 200m dash, he traversed the one lap race in 21.47 seconds, a new personal best which is also a provisional mark. Additionally, it ranks as the second fastest time in the Northeast-10 and fourth in all of NCAA Division II. Lastly, his time breaks his own school record he set two years ago.
In the 400m, he broke the tape in an personal best of 47.26. The mark is an automatic qualifier which secures his ticket to Mankato, Minnesota for the national meet in March. His time currently ranks him third in the NE-10 and fourth in the country. Additionally, his time qualified him to compete in the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 25-26. More impressively, he broke the 35 year old school record, set back in 1977 by Kevin Price (47.74), a three-time All-American and 1975 Outdoor 440 yard dash NCAA Champion.
