Filippazzo set a new personal record and finished in third place with an 8:25.90 time during the 3,000 meter race at the Gotham City Cup on Friday. His time was good for an NCAA Provisional mark and was named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week along with being named the ECAC Co-Athlete of the Week.
