On the back of the best weekend of her young collegiate career to date, rookie sprinter Buissereth helped the Adelphi University track and field team earn two weekly honors from the Northeast-10 Conference on Tuesday.

Named NE10 Rookie of the Week for the first time, Buissereth took home her first collegiate first place trophy in the 400m event with a time of 58.12 at Friday's Spartan Invitational, hosted by Saint Thomas Aquinas College at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.

In addition to winning the 400m, the Kellenberg grad was a member of the first-place 4x400 relay squad for the Panthers, which was honored as the women's Relay Team of the Week by the league office.
