Mansfield, Mass. - With a little under a month to go until the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championship, the league office has announced two Adelphi student-athletes as weekly award recipients on Tuesday.
Isabel Marsh has earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week and
Jack Coyne garners his first Men's Track Rookie of the Week nod.
Marsh clocked in at 1:32.59 in the 600m Invite event, featuring post-collegiate racers to place fourth in the field at the NYC Gotham Cup at the Ocean Breeze Complex. Although not contested at NCAAs her time places herself fifth on the all-time Division II list in the specialty according to USTFCCCA season lists.
Coyne's PR in the 800 this weekend at the NYC Gotham Cup ranks him fourth among NE10 competition, posting his first sub-2:00 time in the event. He clocked in at 1:59.13 which is the second fastest time from a rookie this season in the NE10 and placed him 12th overall.
The multi-athletes will compete this weekend at Columbia University - pending acceptance - while the rest of the squad will head to the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University.
