Men's Soccer Shuts Out St. Francis, 1-0

Queens, N.Y. - The Adelphi men's soccer team traveled to Queens, New York to take on St. Francis College on Tuesday, September 13. The Panthers out shot the Terriers 7-4, picking up a 1-0 win to improve to 2-4 on the season, while St. Francis remains winless at 0-5.

Adelphi broke a 0-0 tie in the 31st minute when Keith Rock (Dublin, Ireland) broke through the Terrier defense and notched his first goal of the season, giving the Panthers a 1-0 edge. In the second half of action, Adelphi continued to control play, out shooting St. Francis 3-1 and rolling to a 1- victory.

Michael Hurley (Freeport, N.Y.) made two saves and picked up his second shut out of the season, while Chris Antonino made five saves for St. Francis.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, September 16 when they play host to Monmouth at 1:00 pm on Stiles Field.
