Schissler would be the only member of the 2,000 point club if you include the 666 points he scored during his first season on the freshman team.  However, he is currently 13th on the all-time points list with 1,367. In addition, he still currently is on numerous top-10 lists in the Adelphi record books. His records include fifth in career field goal attempts (1,228), sixth in career scoring average (17.8), sixth in career field goals (530) and seventh in free throw percentage (.799). He was voted Outstanding Freshman Player in the 1964-65 season and during his senior year was named to the All-Metropolitan first team.
