Arguable one of the best female players to hold a bat at Adelphi, Lisa Jusino has dedicated nearly ten years of her life to the betterment of the Brown and Gold Softball program. Jusino came to the campus of Adelphi University in the fall of 1997 and when she left the program in 2006 had given four years of service on the field, five years of service in the dugout, earned numerous conference and regional accolades and helped rewrite the Adelphi record book.

A 1997 graduate of East Meadow High School, Jusino was a four-year softball letterwinner and was named to the all-state team. Jusino led her team to the Long Island Championships twice and ended her career being named Nassau County MVP.

The spring of 1998 began Jusino's four-year run as a starter in the catcher/third base positions. During her stellar career, she was named second-team All-Northeast and all-East Coast Conference (ECC) as a freshman. As a junior, Jusino was voted team MVP, named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Academic All-American and selected to the NCAA Northeast Region All-Tournament Team.

A team captain her senior year, Jusino was named first team All-Northeast Region, a first team ECAC North All-Star and first team All-ECC. A two-time ECAC Division II North "Hitter of the Week" and a two-time ECC Player of the Week, Jusino was named team MVP and Adelphi's senior class Athlete of the Year.

She ended her career playing in over 160 games and currently still holds records for: Single-Season - batting average (8th with .398), Slugging Percentage (2nd with .678), At Bats (9th with 171), Hits (4th with 68), Doubles (1st with 26), Home Runs (5th with 6), RBI's (1st with 56), Total Bases (1st with 116) and Career Records - At Bats (5th with 579), Hits (6th with 190), Doubles (1st with 58), Triples (3rd with 17), Home Runs (4th with 17), RBI's (1st with 153), Total Bases (2nd with 307), and Walks (8th with 43).
