Grant was named the Most Valuable Player in basketball in both his freshman and senior seasons. He received the Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year award in 1958-59. Also, he ranks among the top-20 scorers in Adelphi History with 1,194 points, 1st in three single season categories including free throw attempts (251), free throws (188) and rebounds (368) and is also among the leaders in rebound average (13.1). Lastly, he ranks 1st in career rebound average (12.37) and is in the top-10 in career free throws (364), free throw attempts (524) and rebounds (866).
