Dan DeMilt, a key contributor to Adelphi university’s historic 1993 baseball team, enters the athletic Hall of Fame as the program’s 23rd individual inductee and alongside his squad, honored as the 2025 Legendary Team.
A catalyst in the Panthers’ first-ever trip to the NCAA Division II College World Series, DeMilt embodied the discipline and resilience that defined the landmark season.
He remains Adelphi’s single-season leader in at-bats and ranks top ten in multiple career categories, including fourth in hits and runs (at the time of induction, Dec. 2025). His standout 1993 campaign earned him ABCA All-American and Northeast Region Player of the Year honors.
After a 30-year software engineering career, DeMilt now works in the Sachem School District, and his son Zach will join the Panthers in 2026.
