Wilson was a four-time letterwinner, three-time co-captain of the team. Affectionately known as “Pop”, Wilson was named MVP of the team as a sophomore and won the Sportsmanship Award in 1990-91.  He was also a New York City Athletic Conference All-Star as a senior. Additionally, his name appears in many categories of the Adelphi record book, including ranking fifth in career points with 1,531. 
 
After graduation, Wilson served asn an assistant coach from 1991-94, helping to guide the Panthers to an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship in the 1993-94 season. Wilson graduated form Adelphi in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance and earned a master’s degree in sports management in 1994.
