Andrew Coelho, the first men’s runner in adelphi history to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country National Championship in 2010, went on to make three appearances on the national stage and earn USTFCCCA All-American honors twice.
A four-time all-conference performer, he remains among the NE10’s all-time leaders with two top-50 8k times (at the time of induction). Coelho also excelled on the track, winning gold in the 4x400 relay in 2011 and capturing the 5,000m title at the 2012 NE10 outdoor championships.
His indoor 3,000m record from 2013 still stands (as of Dec. 2025). Coelho earned degrees in physical education and nursing. He becomes the 10th cross country and 31st track and field Hall of Fame inductee.
