Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University softball team's annual fall Breast Cancer Awareness game once against proved a huge success over the weekend, with the Panthers raising funds for the non-profit organization Unite for HER.
A suggested donation of $5 or more for spectators for Adelphi's fall ball game against the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds for the day was requested, with all proceeds benefiting the organization.
In addition,100 percent of the profits from a pre-game youth clinic put on by the Panthers went towards the cause as well. In total, tha Panthers raised over $1,500 for the cause.
Unite for HER strives to make a positive difference in the lives of women and girls by supporting and providing breast cancer and wellness programs that educate, empower, and restore, while considering not only physical needs, but emotional and spiritual needs as well.
