Garden City, N.Y. - This past Monday evening, the Adelphi University athletic department held its Student-Athlete Banquet to honor the success of the individuals and teams that represent the Panthers throughout the year in competition as well as in the classroom and in the community.

Held on campus in the University Center ballroom, all of the Brown and Gold teams and coaches gathered for the dinner and award ceremony. Included in the program was the presentation of team MVPs as well as department awards as well as recognizing the seniors from each squad. The night was capped off with a highlight video, demonstrating the on-field success of Adelphi.

Major award winners included the Male and Female Athletes of the Year, both resulting in co-winners. Devan Crimi of women's lacrosse and Jessica Kitrys from women's basketball shared the Female award while the Male award went to both Greg Puskuldjian of men's lacrosse and Ryan Snouffer of men's golf. The softball team was awarded the Team Academic Award for highest GPA while Katie Andrews of the softball team and men's lacrosse's Nick Watson each were awarded the individual Female and Male Scholar Athlete Awards.

Alex Froccaro of women's lacrosse and Jordan Hibbert from men's soccer were awarded with this year's Female and Male Z. Paul Akian Award recipients. Chosen to give this year's senior speech was women's soccer's Chelsea Wollman.
