Men's Soccer (11-7, 9-4 NE-10; NE-10 Tournament Semifinals)
The men's soccer team concluded its first season in the Division II ranks with an 11-7 overall record and reached the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.

After starting the season with a 3-4 record, the Panthers won a staggering six games in a row in which they outscored their opposition 13-0. Courtesy of a 9-4 record in conference play during the regular season, the Panthers picked up the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament. In their first Division II playoff game at home, they defeated the No. 5 Dolphins of Le Moyne College by a 3-0 score, and avenged a 2-1 double overtime loss in the regular season.

The Panthers faced off against the No. 1 Southern New Hampshire University Penmen in the semifinals, a team that was also ranked No. 1 in the nation. Despite playing tough, the Panthers fell by a 1-0 score and missed out on a chance to qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Sophomore Alejandro Penzini was named to the All-Championship Team for his performance in the playoffs, and also led a group of seven who received All-Conference honors. Penzini was named to the First Team at forward and Juan Aguiar joined him there at midfield. Diego Zuniga was named to the Second Team at midfield and Jordan Hibbert also landed there defense. Julian Hohns was named to the Third Team at defense and freshmen Caelan Hueber and TJ Butler landed on the All-Rookie squad. Additionally, Penzini and Aguiar were named Third-Team NSCAA All-Region selections while Aguiar went on to earn First-Team NSCAA All-Region and NSCAA NCAA All-American Honorable Mention.

Field Hockey (11-9, 5-5 NE-10; NE-10 Tournament Semifinals)
The field hockey team reached the NE-10 Tournament semifinals for the second consecutive year under the direction of Head Coach

The Panthers went 4-3 in the non-conference portion of their schedule, which included a resounding 5-1 win against then-No. 5 Merrimack and a 1-0 win against then-No. 7 Limestone. Despite going 2-5 in conference play in October, the Panthers rallied for three consecutive wins to end the season and book their ticket to the NE-10 Tournament as the No. 4 seed. In the quarterfinals, the team rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Bentley 2-1 in overtime and advance to the semifinals. There, they were defeated 5-0 by the No. 1 LIU Post Pioneers.

Molly Cuevas was named to the All-Championship team for her efforts, which included the game-winning goal against Bentley. She was also named to the All-Northeast-10 First Team with teammate Jamie Ackerman, while freshman Lena Pollich landed on the All-Rookie squad. Cuevas went on to earn Longstrenth/NFHCA and Synapse Sports Second-Team All-American kudos while Pollich landed on the Synapse Sports All-Rookie Team.

Women's Soccer (14-3-4, 9-1-4 NE-10; NE-10 Tournament Finalists, NCAA Regional Semifinalists)
The women's soccer team had a history-making season in 2013, as they recorded the most program wins since 2008, advanced to the NCAA East Regional for the first time since 2007 and won an NCAA Tournament game for the first time in nearly a decade.

Chris Armas' team started the year 3-0-1 before suffering their first loss at the hands of the Saint Rose Golden Knights. It would not be the last time that the Panthers came up short against the Golden Knights on the season, but from there they ran off a record of 8-0-3 to secure the No. 3 seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Panthers recorded a 2-1 win against No. 6 Saint Anselm at home in the quarterfinals, before stunning No. 2 American International in an overtime thriller by the same score in the semifinals. In the championship, the Panthers were bested by the Golden Knights once again by a 2-0 score.

Following the NE-10 playoffs, the team cracked the national polls for the first time since 2004. The women's squad checked in at No. 25 in the nation for the week of November 13. Selected to compete in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007, the Panthers soundly defeated No. 5 Mercy in the opening round of action. The No. 4 Panthers were pitted against a familiar foe in Saint Rose in the semifinals, and they again fell 2-0.

In total, the Panthers received eight All-Conference honors. Junior goalkeeper Sam Whitney received the NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year award while Armas was named Coach of the Year. Whitney was also named to the All-Conference First Team and she was joined there by Donna Liotine on defense. Olivia Czavar was honored with Second Team selection at forward while Michelle Brown was named to the Third-Team at midfield. Samantha Lanza and Victoria Antonino were honored with selection to the All-Rookie squad. Whitney was also named to the Daktronics All-Region Second-Team. NSCAA All-Region awards were given to Whitney, Liotine and Czavar, all Second-Team honorees while Antonino was named to Third-Team.

Cross Country (NE-10 Championships; M-5th, W-7th | NCAA East Regional; M-5th, W-5th | NCAA Championships; Filippazzo-41st , Eickelberg-54th)
On each of the conference, regional and national levels, the men's and women's cross country teams enjoyed success this year. The men's squad improved one spot at the conference championship from a year ago. Highlighting the men's side, senior transfer Nick Filippazzo placed fourth at the conference meet to earn All-Conference honors and then went on to pace the men to a fifth place team finish at the East Regional Championship, backed by his runner up finish to earn All-Region status. On the national stage, the Wantagh, N.Y. native finished one spot out of All-American contention with a 41
st place showing.

On the women's side, the squad placed seventh at the conference meet but improved to fifth at the East Regional meet. Elizabeth Eickelberg powered the Panthers through in every meet and earned All-Conference and All-Region kudos on the strength of third and fourth place finishes respectively. Making her second straight trip to the national meet, she improved by 73 spots from a year ago and went on to place 54
th overall.

Volleyball (19-13, 10-4 NE-10; NE-10 Semifinals; NCAA First Round)
The women's volleyball team reached the NCAA East Region Tournament for the seventh consecutive season, under the direction of Head Coach
Danielle MacKnight. They finished the 2013 campaign 19-13 overall and 10-4 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

The Panthers collected seven straight wins from October 19 to November 2 including four wins in three straight sets. Their final victory at home against Merrimack, celebrating seniors Katie Bryson and Colleen Raga, earned the squad the fourth seed going into the NE-10 Tournament.

After falling to the University of New Haven in the NE-10 semifinals (3-1), the Panthers had a chance to redeem themselves as they drew the No. 5 seed for the NCAA Tournament and matched up with the fourth seeded Chargers in the first round. Despite jumping out to a 2-0 lead, Adelphi fell in a heartbreaking five-set match, concluding their 2013 season.

Kaitlyn Destefano and Katie Bryson were named to the NE-10 First and Second teams respectively. Freshman Sierra Crook, who played all sets at libero, was named to the NE-10 All-Rookie squad. Destefano also earned 2013 Daktronics NCAA Division II Volleyball All-East Region First-Team and AVCA All-Region honors while Bryson was named an AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention.

Golf (Northeast-10 Champions)
The golf team once again had a strong fall campaign. In five invitationals, they were victorious in two of them while finishing as the runner up in the third. They successfully defended their NE-10 crown which marked the fourth time in five years they have taken the team title.

Freshman Dylan Daxon took home one of three individual crowns on the year at the Dowling September Shootout. Louis Kelly was the top performer at the Port Jefferson Intercollegiate Classic while Snouffer defended his individual NE-10 title and tied the championship mark for the lowest single round score (66).

Snoufer was given the Gordon McCullough Memorial Award/Golfer of the Year for the second straight season and earned First-Team All-Conference kudos. Teammates Daxon and Frank Amicizia joined Snouffer on the First-Team. Head Coach Jantzen Vargas picked up his third Coach of the Year award after leading his team to the title.
