Former Panther, Amanda Popoli, to Lead First Ever Women’s Soccer Team at Lehman College

Popoli was a four year member of the women’s soccer team from 2006-2009.

Amanda Popoli, the first Head Coach of the women's soccer team at Lehman.
New York, N.Y. – Former Adelphi women's soccer standout, Amanda Popoli, has been selected as the Head Coach of the women's soccer team at Lehman College. It is the first time in the program's history that the school will have the sport.
 
Popoli was a four year member of the women's soccer team from 2006-2009 under Hall of Fame Coach, Rich Ilsley. She played in 69 games in her career and tallied four goals and 11 assists.
During her time as a Panther, she was part of a squad that boasted a four year record of 48-16-10 which included being crowned the East Coast Conference Champions in 2006 and making the NCAA Tournament the following year in 2007.
 
After she graduated Adelphi, she had an opportunity to play with an Italian “A” level professional team in Trieste, Italy, as well as with Sky Blue FC of the women's professional soccer league. Her coaching experience includes a recent position as assistant coach with the women's soccer team at Harrison High School.
