In addition, the Adelphi Softball team raised money through its third annual At Bat for A Cause Clinic.

"Our relationship with the Breast Cancer Hotline continues to grow and has become a major part of the Athletic Department's community engagement efforts," said Assistant AD/Senior Woman Administrator, Suzette McQueen. "Thank you to the Adelphi community, the Student Government Association and our team and coaches for making it another successful year."

Over the last 4 years, the Athletics Department, with is campus partners have generated over $21,000 for the hotline. In addition to monetary support, the teams have helped petition New York State to keep funding for the program and have participated in the hotline's hugely successful Creative Cups initiative.

The department initially began working with the hotline three years ago in response to a diagnosis of breast cancer for Jennifer Montgomery, the wife of former men's soccer coach Bob Montgomery. In an effort to assist her and raise awareness, Athletics partnered with the hotline. Today, Jennifer is in remission and doing well and helps raise money as well as attend the "pink games", often singing the national anthem before the start of the contests.
