On Sunday, September 30, the Adelphi University women's basketball team participated in the annual American Heart Walk, hosted by Nassau Community College. The Panthers also helped to distribute lunch to the over 3,000 volunteers and participants who take part in the walk which also includes a health fair.
The American Heart Walk, sponsored by the American Heart Association, is a 5K walking event established to raise funds in the fight against heart disease and stroke on Long Island. It also promotes cardiovascular health and regular exercise.
