Adelphi University hosted over 125 student-athletes, alumni, family and friends at its Fourth Annual Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 25.
The guests were treated to a wonderful buffet breakfast and an entertaining performance by the Adelphi Hip Hop Team. Kenneth Banks '74, founder and CEO of Banks Contracting Company, Inc., was the event keynote speaker.
Multicultural Alumni Chapter President Grady Faulkner also addressed the crowd. Caesar Raynor '70 introducted Mr. Banks and also presented him with a special gift from members of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. Alumnus Alethia Ali '05 closed the afternoon by leading the crowd in the Black National Anthem.
