Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is holding their second annual Bowl-A-Thon on Wednesday, February 16 at 9:00 pm. The event will be held at the Sheridan Bowl on 199 East Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.

Last year all the proceeds went to the Make-A-Wish foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. This year the Bowl-A-Thon is being held to raise money for the victims of the tsunami disaster.

The cost of the event is $13 and includes two games of bowling, shoe rental and food. Prizes will be awarded to the male and female participant with the top scores. For more information on SAAC log onto: www.aupanthers.com.

Directions to Sheridan Bowl from Adelphi:

Make a left out of Adelphi onto South Ave. and take to Nassau Blvd.
Make a right onto Nassau Blvd.
Take Nassau down until you get to Jericho Tpke (Walgreens on corner on left side)
Make a right onto Jericho Tpke.
Take Jericho down for a few miles.
The bowling alley will be on your right-hand side.
